Who we are
Founders Renée Ericson, a writer and equestrian with background in film development, and Rick Rickertsen, a producer, writer, and investor, have combined their creative skillsets, development experience, and global networks to champion emerging talent.
Collaborating closely with emerging female creators to develop high-quality scripts and concepts, KORIMEDIA aims to ensure that these women have access to necessary resources, mentorship, and platforms to showcase their work.
Renée Ericson
Founder & Partner
Renée Ericson is a writer with a background in journalism, finance, marketing, and as co-owner of an equestrian apparel brand.
Ericson began her film career as a production associate at Star Thrower Entertainment, and is passionate about developing stories into their most effective and compelling form by collaborating with writers and partners.
She is thrives on identifying creative talent and potential, developing materials into marketable projects, and securing the financing and distribution required for commercial consumption in the appropriate channels.
While Ericson grew up internationally as the daughter of diplomats, she never lost her love and appreciation for her home country of Sweden. As a result, she works to incorporate Swedish IP and talent into KORIMEDIA’s projects whenever possible.
RICK RICKERTSEN
Founder & Partner
Rick Rickertsen is a passionate film producer, bestselling author, and successful private equity investor.
As a partner at Star Thrower Entertainment, Rickertsen has been involved in critically acclaimed films such as King Richard, The Post, Wind River, and Ingrid Goes West. Wins and nominations for these projects range from Independent Spirit Awards to Academy Awards.
He has also written six original feature film scripts and developed several more.
Rickertsen is passionate about drawing from his vast experience and network to mentor and champion young professionals, and that is what inspired the launch of KORIMEDIA.
